My clinical background includes working in school and outpatient settings with youth and families. These settings have provided me with experience supporting clients with autism as well as navigating depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.
Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I worked for 10 years providing direct service work and community organizing in Philadelphia in support of people living with HIV, queer and trans folks, sex workers, people who use drugs, and unhoused individuals.
As a clinician, I am committed to honoring every person’s dignity and autonomy. My approach is deeply informed by harm reduction principles, and I draw from different therapy modalities to best suit your unique needs. In sessions, I show up as myself. I enjoy bringing humor and curiosity to my work. I aim to be supportive and help individuals better understand themselves, while making positive changes that align with their values. I recognize how systems of oppression impact our well-being and believe in the importance of naming that in the therapeutic setting.
I’ve always had an affinity for wanting to hear people’s stories and support them through hard times. In my own personal life, I have found therapy incredibly helpful in learning how to accept all parts of myself. Finding a therapist can be difficult, overwhelming, and confusing, often at a time when you really need support. I find that a good vibe or connection with a therapist who you feel understands you can be the best place to start. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and explore what could help you most in your therapeutic journey.
