Professional Bio:

Hi, I’m Erin, a clinical intern at Bryn Mawr College. I work with adults and teens navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, relational challenges, and mood concerns.

I’m deeply interested in the question of how we became who we needed to be—and who we want to be now. Our experiences, especially early relationships and difficult or traumatic experiences, shape the ways we understand ourselves and connect with others. Sometimes we develop ways of thinking, feeling, and relating that helped us navigate what we were going through, but no longer serve us in the same way. Therapy can be a space to understand those patterns with curiosity and compassion, and to explore what it might look like to move forward with greater choice and self-trust.

I’m particularly drawn to working with people who are experiencing or have experienced complex trauma, relational wounds, family estrangement, difficult family dynamics, nervous system overwhelm, grief, and major life transitions.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and a range of experiential therapies. I believe there is no single right way to do therapy, so our work will be shaped around you—your experiences, your goals, and what feels useful and meaningful.

As a therapist, I strive to be direct, empathetic, accepting, and intuitive. I’ll meet you with curiosity rather than judgment, while also being willing to gently challenge you when I think something is worth looking at more closely. I believe therapy can hold both the difficult and the lighter moments: we can sit with painful things while still making room for humor, creativity, and genuine connection.
