Everyone deserves a life worth living. If you are struggling to feel connected to yourself, your loved ones, or the world around you, you are not alone. I welcome my clients into treatment with authenticity and sincerity, coming from a place of understanding what it is like to struggle with these difficulties. In our sessions, I seek to develop a holistic understanding of my clients by exploring their past and present, paying attention to repeating behavioral patterns and internal narratives that may keep them feeling stuck in unhealthy cycles. By building a collaborative therapeutic relationship and strengthening our capacity for the discomfort of growth, we can create space for meaningful change.
As a therapist, I always want my clients to feel safe to “say the quiet parts out loud” and encourage them to address anything and everything within the therapeutic space, from systemic barriers that may be impeding their progress to feedback on the therapeutic process itself. I strongly believe in leading treatment with compassion and curiosity, adopting a flexible and integrated approach that allows sessions to be tailored to what resonates and aligns most with each client. I tend to incorporate practices from psychodynamic modalities to target long-term goals and persistent personal challenges while drawing from DBT, mindfulness and somatic practices to help address clients' acute needs and provide coping skills that may assist them as soon as they walk out the door.
Coming from a social work background, all my work is based on an anti-oppressive lens and keeps in mind the impact of the imperfect systems that govern our lives. My therapeutic style is warm, eclectic, and allows space for creativity and humor as I welcome all the ways you may choose to express yourself. More than anything, I am passionate about ensuring that therapy feels accessible and fulfilling for everyone. Life is hard and often will be, but together we can build the tools that help us manage those difficulties while living a life aligned with our unique personhood, goals, and values. If you are ready to get started and would like to work with me, please reach out to connect!
