For the past two decades, my work as a therapist has been driven by a fundamental belief: every person possesses inherent strength and deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to be truly heard and seen. This conviction is what drew me to this profession. The power of a trusted listener, combined with thoughtful guidance, can be transformative in navigating challenging times. The therapeutic relationship, in its unique capacity to foster comfort, trust, and understanding, can catalyze profound change. I am continually inspired by the remarkable resilience of the human spirit, and I strive to cultivate an empathetic space where individuals feel genuinely acknowledged and understood. It is a privilege to accompany people on their personal journeys.

My extensive experience of 20 years includes working in outpatient therapy, addiction treatment, higher education, and with individuals reintegrating into their communities after incarceration. I have a great deal of experience in program clinical management. I have provided clinical supervision to social work interns and budding clinicians for over 15 years. Across these diverse settings, my approach remains strengths-based, relational, and deeply committed to social justice. I recognize that systems of power and oppression significantly influence mental well-being. Therefore, I actively integrate this perspective into my practice, striving to create an inclusive and affirming environment that honors the diverse lived experiences of my clients. My aim extends beyond simply helping individuals cope; I am dedicated to empowering you to thrive, fully embracing your unique identity and potential.

My practice is also trauma-informed, acknowledging the profound impact of difficult experiences. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Therapy (CT) and worked for years in an organization that utilized the Sanctuary Trauma Model equipping me with practical tools and strategies to support your growth.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, life transitions, or the impacts of systemic inequalities, I offer a compassionate and understanding approach tailored to your specific needs. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you work towards healing, growth, and a greater sense of empowerment. I encourage you to reach out and explore how we can work together.

As a Clinical Manager at Perez Therapy, LLC., I provide psychotherapy to individuals and groups and provide clinical supervision to therapists. I am Philadelphia born and raised and have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Temple University and completed my graduate studies in clinical social work at Bryn Mawr College in 2005. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania since 2010.
