Marlene Alvarado, LSW (she/her)

Marlene is a Masters level clinician who received her graduate degree in clinical social work from Temple University. Initially, Marlene was passionate about juvenile justice and became a social worker . While working with detained youth Marlene realized the trauma and various mental health diagnoses within this population . This led Marlene to continue her work with adolescents, youth and adults . Marlene currently provides services related to community mental health . Marlene enjoys the positive impact therapy has on individuals . Being a bilingual social worker is even further rewarding for Marlene as she has the ability to interact and provide services to those who primarily speak Spanish . Marlene uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) an evidence -based practice and continues to expand knowledge within other
therapeutic frameworks.
